Frequently Asked Questions

Can we see an item in person before purchasing?
Definitely yes. We live and work in Keswick, VA, which is a quiet suburb of Charlottesville, VA. We request buyers make an appointment to view any item, as almost everything is in storage. Most items can be viewed there, but we also have a store front presence at the Old Lucketts Store in Lucketts, VA, storage in Sterling, VA, Herndon, VA and Orange, VA.
Do you purchase damaged vintage items?
Yes. Send us a photo or three to the address on the left so we can assess the condition and what needs to be done.
We also purchase items in perfect condition!
Where is my item?
Shipping furniture is different from sending a Fedex or UPS parcel. With furniture, a driver has blanket wrapped and is hand-delivering your item to your door. Most curriers like this do not have a tracking system. (Plycon Does). We simply need to know which item you purchased and when in order to track your furniture delivery. Our delivery times for furniture are only estimates as the slightest change can shift a delivery up or down by a matter of days. Most deliveries arrive within 7-14 business days of purchase. Cross-country deliveries can take upwards of 30-35 days.
Please verify the condition before the delivery driver leaves your residence. If there’s an issue, let’s resolve it as soon as possible.
What if I hate my purchase once it arrives?
We’re sorry for that! We do not want anyone to feel stuck with an item they do not want. Unfortunately, we are a small business who deals in vintage goods, and cannot quickly send you another duplicate off the shelf. Returns are only accepted for in-store-credit. Returns must be in the same condition they left us in for the return to be honored.
Buyer must always verify the condition of a delivery before the currier leaves their residence.
What would you pay for my ____?
We typically will not offer cash without hearing what price you had in mind first. There is a lot of manual labor, monetary and lifestyle investment that goes into our full-time business. We make offers to purchase your items based on what we can sell them for, and deduct any restoration, storage and delivery costs we need to. Of note, we do not purchase items at the same price we sell them for.
