All buyers should read the following Terms & Conditions of Purchase for Fair Market Vintage.

1. Guarantee of product:

   • Fair Market Vintage guarantees the item you purchased as it is shown in imagery and described in text on our various sites. If any item has been damaged in transit, it would be up to the currier to make it right. Once an item leaves our facility, we have no control over it and therefore are not liable for damages.

2. Availability:

   • We sell on multiple platforms including but not limited to our flag ship web site FairMarketVintage.com, Chairish.com, Etsy.com, eBay.com, at the Old Lucketts Store, Facebook, Instagram, and local marketplaces including markets and shows and directly to consumer. If an item is sold, we process though this list to remove sold items. If there has been a discrepancy and an item has sold on two platforms, (within mere minutes), priority is given to the first to purchase.

3. Shipping:

   • Unless an item is marked offering free shipping, a delivery fee will be charged. For furniture the range can start at $50 for small pieces easily disassembled and shipped, all the way to $750, for cross-country moving jobs of large china cabinets and sofas. Most deliveries within Virginia, D.C. and Maryland cost less than $200.

   • All items will originate in Keswick, VA, which is a suburb of Charlottesville, VA.

   • All buyers must confirm the condition of an item they had delivered at the time of delivery, before the driver has left. This way, we can immediately address any issues that may have come up, before they have a chance to become larger problems.

   • All items that are shipped by any transport service will be shipped insured, no exceptions.

4. Restoration:

   • We always ensure our items are well cared for until they leave us. If we can extend the life of a piece by re-gluing a loose joint, repairing a flaking piece of veneer or generally cleaning an item, we will. Purchasing from us does not mean an item is necessarily perfect or that we have fully or partially restored it. Almost every item we sell will at least be polished with Lemon Oil or OZ polish, or windex for glass.

5. Condition:

   • We do not guarantee our items to be in perfect condition, and do we focus our photography efforts to detail any issues that may exist. As with our auction house, we feel transparency is the best policy. We will tell you if we refinished or restored a piece, or if a condition issue remains past our repair efforts. If you feel we have left a condition issue out, please let us know so we can make it right.

6. Returns:

   • We do not accept returns. Due to the nature of the vintage furniture business, all sales must be final as each piece is rare and unique. We do not have a warehouse full of ___ more of the same exact item. If there is an issue with your purchase in terms of condition or similar, we may at our sole discretion offer to return the item for store credit only. If you find a piece of furniture doesn’t fit within your dimensions, please let us know what you need so we can try to exchange it with one that does.
