Beautiful Vintage African Gemsbok Oryx Shoulder Mount (Oryx Gazella) Taxidermy
Beautiful vintage African Kalahari Gemsbok (Latin: Oryx Gazella) mount with fabulous horns/ antlers. No significant color fading, or hair loss. One Antler is 2.75" shorter- this was a natural occurrence. Antlers are removable for safer shipping/transport. A hook exists to hang from any wall. For photography, we used a monkey hook on 1/2" drywall with no problems. Not terribly heavy, the mount weighs roughly 20#.
Provenance: From a privately owned collection, a Central Virginia estate with many beautiful mounts.
Measures approximately 48" tall x 30" deep x 18" wide. Left Antler: 27.75" - Right Antler: 30.5"
