Vintage Atomic Modernist Gio Ponti Style Coffee Table
A beautiful coffee table with elegant details, in the manner of Gio Ponti, and reminiscent of an Arne Vodder design. We are fairly certain the table is American made, circa late 1950’s through the mid-60’s. Lathe-turned legs connect to gluing blocks under the table surface but extend slightly past the height of the table, and are capped by brass feet. Sculpted details and rounded-rectangular design finish off the elegant aesthetic and preserve a strong frame. Made of White Ash and Poplar lumber core. Legs and structural elements are solid wood.
Measures 42” long, 20” wide overall 15.5” tall. The legs will be disassembled for easy shipping.
