American craftsman, Rude Osolnik (1915-2001) is best known for this iconic design and produced an estimated 150,000 of them in the 1950's and 60's. He is regarded as one of the finest woodworkers in the US and his work can be found on permanent collection at the Renwick Gallery the Smithsonian, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and many other notable institutions.

This pair of candlesticks are made from turned walnut and each are signed with his signature double "O".
